For a few weeks I had been asked to produce lesson plans and have them tie in with VELS. But what is VELS and how do we produce a lesson plan?
\n
\n This lecture finally went into some details on what VELS is, how to use it and how to set up a lesson plan. This helped me get through a few fears and gave me some confidence in the work I need to produce in other subjects. Although setting out a lesson plan was explained,without actually being within a classroom setting the ammount of work to be prescribed in each lesson was a challemge. After my placements this became a lot clearer as I had an indication of the students capabilities and how much work they could do in a lesson without being overloaded.
\n
\nOverall a very important and informative lesson.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"10637872","dateCreated":"1238325048","smartDate":"Mar 29, 2009","userCreated":{"username":"LaTrobeDeltaForceMichael","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/LaTrobeDeltaForceMichael","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/latrobedeltaforce.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/10637872"},"dateDigested":1531977507,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Reflections Week 4","description":"Out of the lectures so far, this was probably the most useful in the practical sense. The lesson plan seems to be one of the most useful 'tools' at a teachers' disposal.
\n
\nMany teachers at this stage of their training are worried about classroom management and how to sucessfully organise a lesson without it turning into chaos. Now knowing how to properly structure a lesson plan lessens those fears somewhat.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"10546420","dateCreated":"1238035361","smartDate":"Mar 25, 2009","userCreated":{"username":"Latrobedeltaforce","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/Latrobedeltaforce","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/latrobedeltaforce.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/10546420"},"dateDigested":1531977507,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Week 4-Lesson planning","description":"Pete's lecture this week was a very helpful one. His step by step introduction to VELS and the sample lesson plan, has made our assessments for the course a little easier to understand. The workshop, conducted after the lesson, was equally as importand and helpful as it put the sample lesson plan into practice. It helped us come to an understanding about what it was about and what sort of things should be put into the lesson plan.

\nThe FAQ were really helpful, as those are some of the questions that would have been playing on other students' heads.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
