He opened up to us in regards to his research and theory. Lewis spoke about classroom management and the responsibility of the student and the teacher. Lewis pointed out a number of rights students were entitled to when they are learning. A number of these rights particularly caught my attention.<br \/>\n1. Everyone has the right to learn without distraction<br \/>\n2. Everyone has the right to feel comfortable and safe<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThese 2 points caught my attention as I agree with them fully. Throughout my placement, I noticed this wasn't always to be the case. In my particular classroom there was a lot of disruptive students. These students spoke in class, bullied others and discouraged others from learning. At times these students would behave however I noticed that when particular students were not around, others worked better. Trying to ensure that every student can work to there full potential these issues need to be adressed.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAgain I thought he lecture was very insightful and left me with questions  wanted to know more about in the future. It really stops the lectures from becoming stale and helps keep your interest engaged.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe lecture by professor Lewis was no exception, classroom management was one of the areas that I was most interested in, having had experience in un-managed classes.
