Managing a classroom is not always easy, At times it can make you feel queasy. But when you get it right, And hopefully you might. It could all become rather breezy.
"John sometimes regrets becomming a CRT."
I found Professor Lewis' lecture on Monday very insightful. It was great that he could discuss his research and theory with us with enthusiam and positively, but also outline to us that it will not always be successful, highlighted by some amusing examples. To be realistic, I am sure we all understand that disciplining and gaining respect from your students is not going to be at all an easy task...but we can try!! It was interesting to hear about different types of children (eg A, B, C, D kids) and the types of 'power' that are require to hopefully get the best outcomes for your students. I feel that the principles outlined by Professor Lewis regarding the right, respect and safe environment for learning were spot on. If we can provide this for our students and get them to gain a solid understanding of these principles, then hopefully they will continue to be represented throughout the students education and beyond.
